the ultimate anti-aging treatment
Buccal massage is an intra-oral technique (yes, inside the mouth) to access hard-to-reach areas of the face. The purpose of buccal massage is to strengthen and stretch the muscles in the face to prevent lines, wrinkles, decrease jaw tension, and provide emotional release.
The fat pads in our cheeks, or the buccal fat as you may have heard of more recently, have a major role in the aging process. When they migrate down and to the centre of the face due to gravity or tension, they create nasalabial folds, puffiness and a heavy lower and mid face. Buccal massage is aimed at opening up the face and releasing tension that brings all tissues to the center.
BENEFITS:
Lifts and contours the lower and mid face
Promotes lymphatic drainage and facial de-puffing
Releases jaw tension and improves TMJ symptoms
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Dermatitis
Severe acne on 50% or more of the face
Recent surgery on the face (3 months)
Fillers or botox in the face less than two weeks prior to treatment
Threads less than 3 months prior to treatment
